Overview

Triangle reports became especially prominent in late twentieth-century waves. Some accounts describe a dark structure blocking stars; others establish only three or more lights whose arrangement suggested an outline.

Observation and identification

The first analytical question is whether witnesses resolved one body or inferred a body between lights. Formation flying, perspective and aircraft lighting must be considered without assuming that they explain every report.

The earliest wording, sketches and recordings carry greater evidential weight than later labels or illustrations.

Triangle reports include multiple-witness events and some comparatively detailed descriptions. The record remains uneven: a later fabricated Belgian photograph is not evidence for the wider wave, while arrangements of lights cannot be treated as a solid body unless the testimony or imagery resolves one.
